// our stack - Xano

Xano, the backend that handles the load.

Xano is a complete backend platform: managed Postgres database, APIs, server-side logic, authentication, roles & permissions - all on managed infrastructure. We build the foundation (data + business rules + endpoints) then connect any front you like (WeWeb, FlutterFlow, React…).

Let's discuss your Xano project

// why we chose Xano

Optimised cost and time, robust architecture.

Xano lets you reconcile three requirements that often contradict each other: optimising cost and time, while keeping a robust and scalable backend architecture. A complete backend (data, business logic, endpoints, auth, automations), a clear API approach reusable by multiple fronts, and a relational foundation (Postgres) suited to products that grow.

Extranets & portals

Customer, supplier and partner portals - with roles, permissions, secure access and well-defined APIs.

Back-offices & internal tools

Approval workflows, steering, dashboards - with business logic on the server side.

B2B SaaS

Multi-role, granular permissions, industrialisation - everything you need for a product that scales.

IS integration layers

Exposing existing systems through modern APIs - to modernise without rebuilding everything.

// the key technical building blocks

A complete backend, not a "connector".

  1. 01

A managed Postgres database, built to last

Relational data modelling (not just "collections"), a coherent structure as the product evolves, business rules maintained on the server side rather than scattered across the front.

  2. 02

An API Builder: CRUD, webhooks, authentication… and custom work

Endpoints created quickly (CRUD, auth, webhooks, upload…), enriched as needed with validations, calculations, aggregations, transformations and business logic built in directly.

  3. 03

Server-side business logic: conditions, loops, access control

Xano encourages you to place logic on the server side: better reliability, better security, better maintainability. The backend is the main control point.

  4. 04

    Security: authentication + roles/permissions + access rules

Full structuring from the start: authentication, RBAC (roles / permissions), per-resource access rules (read/write/edit/delete), and usage protections (anti-abuse).

  5. 05

Jobs & automations: scheduled tasks + asynchronous processing

For recurring or asynchronous processing (notifications, cleanups, synchronisations, exports, calculations): scheduled tasks and automations based on events and flows.

  6. 06

    Documentation and API contract: OpenAPI/Swagger

A clear API contract (parameters, response formats, errors) usable by a front, another team or an information system. It eases integration and limits misunderstandings as things evolve.

  7. 07

    Industrialisation: branches, merges, versioning

Secure teamwork: branches, merges, schema history/versioning. Avoiding the "everyone edits in prod" mode.

  8. 08

    Diagnostics: request history

Internal tools to understand what's happening on the API side: endpoints hit, errors, calls. It helps with diagnostics and troubleshooting.

// limits / points to watch

What you should know before choosing Xano.

Extreme volumes

At the scale of billions of records, the topic becomes data architecture (partitioning, advanced indexing, pipelines). Xano may require moving part of the "data" out to a specific architecture.

Very small projects

If the project is minimal and monthly cost is a deciding factor, Xano may not be the most economical choice depending on the product's lifespan and the available alternatives.

A satisfactory existing backend

If the client already has a satisfactory backend and only wants a new front, there's no need to replace the backend - we work only on the front (WeWeb/FlutterFlow) and the integration.
